still, he gives a quiet little smirk when he sees her, not out of smugness but almost as if he's just pleased to see her. he taps his cigarette against the ash tray he has set up on the table, his other hand setting down the current book he'd been reading through (a collection of arsène lupin stories, one of his own picks this time), next to the stack of blank colored paper he'd brought over. ]

her attitude doesn't bother him, familiar as it is, even he can maintain that snide attitude that's all too common with him. anyone that's around him enough knows it isn't always a reflection of what's actually on his mind.

his eyes lift up to see her checking out the book, not minding that she's curious. ]

[ he articulates as if he were the one reading whatever summary's scribbled on the back of it. ] It's a guy who's always in disguise, always blending in to the point that even he doesn't recognize himself sometimes.
