Name: Ziggy Berman
Canon: Fear Street Part 2: 1978
Canon point: End of the Camp Nightwing flashbacks.
Age:15 (DOB: FEB 14TH) 16 as of Feb 2022 in Ximilia
History: Here!
Personality:
- Leeet's start with her negatives, because they can be pretty strong when you first get to know her. The first, most obvious thing about her from a distance is that she tends to isolate herself from people; she's spent a large part of her life being a bit of a loner, and so she instinctively hovers toward being alone in some part as a defensive mechanism.
- It's because of her concern of letting people in past her hard exterior that she can be unfriendly and unapproachable if she's not the one making the first move in a meeting. After the carnage the night she's brought in from, this detachment may be amplified. She will often come across as rude and mean until someone can get past her safeguards. She's not used to people being nice to her, so she's often not nice to them first early on.
- She's also short-tempered and can be prone to anger. Circumstances in her life have made her extremely jaded and bitter and a lot of built-up frustration can come out of her sharply, to the point where her sister refers to her as a 'monster'. Door-slamming and flipping people off is not an unusual gesture in her life. That sort of angry wall of defiance leaves her stubborn, sometimes against her own best interests. She's realized her faults and apologized to them near the climax of the film, but it may take her time to address them after.
+ But a lot of that hard, rough exterior can be chipped away by patience and unyielding sympathy or kindness. It's in these moments that she, too, can be extremely sympathetic or kind. Her loyalty to both the people she cares for softens a lot of those flawed edges, and she is invested in doing what is at least morally right; she'll even risk her life to save a bully that had nearly inflicted literal torture on her.
+ Because she is also rather brave in the face of terrifying circumstances, and will rush into a situation giving it her all if she's pushed to the scariest of situations. She's a very capable girl who handles herself fairly well in the face of completely traumatic and often painful situations. Part of this nature comes from a street-smart upbringing where her and her sister were often left to their own devices in Shadyside; that combined youthful wisdom and her capability to fight back despite her age and size is admirable.
+ She's also quick-witted and confident. When she knows what she wants, she'll be swift and rather skillful at getting it. She has a sort of easy-going sway to her when she gets to know you and care about her, and oftentimes her barbed words become fond and witty teasing. Once the icy exterior gets chipped away, you have a girl who can be fun to be around, even after all of the unfortunate hurdles in her life that have made her more bitter or hesitant to the idea of friendship. Deep down, she wants people who can be there for her, people she can show that more carefree, vulnerable side to.
Powers/Abilities: None! She is a 100% normal human being. That said, she's pretty good at sneaking and stealing, especially thanks to all the trouble she used to get in when she and her sister were younger. And, of course, all the trouble she still gets in now.
Regret: That they couldn't undo the curse before so many people died that night.
